Introducing the Michael Collection 2.0

Introducing the Michael Collection 2.0

Kim Ehrman

As the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine has come and gone, I've been thinking about how to provide practical support. Reading The Economist's coverage of how munitions supplies can't possibly keep up with the scale of this war, I thought, ugh, I can't make howitzer shells!

But I can make greeting cards.

So, I set out to determine how Lavender Finch can help Ukraine on an ongoing basis. My mind immediately went to the Big Bold Thanks card: it shares its colors with the Ukrainian flag, which seemed like a happy coincidence to lean into. The card was a part of the Michael collection, named for a boss who is known for many admirable qualities, including his generosity. Another theme to embrace.

So we've shifted the other cards from Michael to Rachel (professional isn't so different from thoughtful, after all) and added another card and a button to the new Michael collection -- all in Ukrainian yellow and blue -- to start things off.

We will gladly donate 50% of the purchase price of products throughout this collection to UNITED24 (https://u24.gov.ua/), the official fundraising platform for Ukraine, as they fight for freedom, security, and independence. We'll keep track of donations here, if you want to follow along.

If you've been wondering how to help Ukraine, maybe this is a happy coincidence for you, too!
