Retiring the Michael and Annette Collections
Kim Ehrman
I hope it's clear by now that I take data and learning very seriously, *and* I want to do things as simply as possible. So, as I take inventory after three months of farmers' markets, I'm also looking at product sales.
We have the sales analytics, which provide an important piece of the story. In addition to the numbers, I'm considering which products and collections get the best reactions when people pick them up: Meghan cards get the most laughs, which is always a fun moment, even if it doesn't result in a sale.
The collections that haven't seemed to elicit the response I was hoping for are the kid-friendly cards in the Annette and the Ukraine benefit cards in the Michael collection. Each collection has a bestseller in it, but the framing isn't necessarily helping. So, I'm retiring the Michael and Annette collections and moving their cards into the best-fitting alternative.
I'll always be grateful for the inspiration these individuals and collections have provided, and I'm excited to see the benefit of further simplicity and focus.
As a final update on Ukraine donations: we've donated more than $1,000 in total to Ukraine in matching (and much more) Michael collection sales. Awesome! Thank you for being part of this effort.
