Introducing Lavender Finch

Introducing Lavender Finch

Kim Ehrman

We're really excited to introduce Lavender Finch, offering modern greeting cards to celebrate everyday connections and special occasions.

What we're about

These are not your grandmother’s greetings cards. They feature modern designs and concise messaging, with ample space for you to write in. There are grandmothers, however, in our origin story. Lavender Finch is led by Kim Ehrman, whose maternal grandma (we called her O’Ma) used to say,

If you like presents, you'll like thank you notes.

Her paternal grandma saved the advice and simply sent lots and lots of cards. Kim carried on the tradition by becoming well known for sending cards to family, friends, and colleagues.

We want to extend the card-writing habit – without the pressure – and breathe modern life into cards. We've organized our cards by collection based on persona to make it easy to narrow down the options that resonate most.

What is a lavender finch?

Mostly it’s a whimsical name, but Lavender Finch has some roots in the real world. There are finches called lavender waxbills native to central Africa, and we borrowed our colors from them.
